Description
Grimston Hill House is a house dating from the late 18th century, with 19th-century additions and alterations, including the left-hand bay. It is constructed of whitewashed pinkish-brown and yellow brick, topped with a Welsh slate roof. The building is two storeys high and features four bays, with the second bay canted to full height. The entrance, located in the third bay, consists of a six-panel door with an overlight, set within an Ionic doorcase that includes a frieze and hood. The windows are 16, 12, and 8-pane sashes, primarily positioned under flat arches made of rubbed brick; the window in the first bay of the ground floor is blocked. There is a raking dormer with casements, and the roof is hipped, featuring ridge and side stacks.
