Description
Manor Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the early to mid-18th century, with later additions and alterations, including an outshut at the rear. It is constructed of pinkish-brown brick in English garden wall bond and features a cast tile roof. The building has two storeys and four bays. The entrance, located in the second bay, consists of a 20th-century six-panel door with an overlight, framed by a 19th-century pilastered surround with a hood. Most windows are 16-pane sashes, while some are 12-pane, all set under elliptical arches. There is a stepped band at the first floor and a stepped and cogged eaves cornice. The roof has ridge and end stacks. A staircase window at the rear is a 16-pane sash with radial glazing bars under a round arch, and there are also some 12-pane Yorkshire sashes. The interior features chamfered beams on most ceilings and a concealed bressumer beam over the central fireplace.
