Description
The garden wall and gazebo at Murton Hall date from the late 18th century. The garden wall encloses the grounds and is constructed of brick in random bond, while the gazebo features an English garden wall bond and has a Welsh slate roof. The gazebo is square in shape and stands two storeys high, with one window on the first floor. It includes a round-headed archway, a first-floor band, and a round-headed fixed window above. The roof is pyramidal and has a stack on the left topped with a weathervane. Inside the gazebo, there is an original miniature iron hob-grate. The garden wall varies in height from 2 to 3 metres and ramps towards the centre.
