Description

No. 61 York Street is a house dating from the late 18th century, with later alterations and additions. It is constructed of pinkish-brown brick in Flemish bond and has a pantile roof. The house features a central hallway plan with an outshut to the left. It is two storeys high and has three bays. The central entrance consists of a four-panel door with an overlight above. Throughout the building, there are 16-pane sash windows, and all openings are set beneath fluted wedge lintels. The roof is swept, and there are end stacks. The outshut includes two ground floor openings that are topped with elliptical arches, and there are casement windows present.
