Description

No 24 is a house located on York Street in Dunnington, dating from the early to mid-18th century, with later additions and alterations including a range at the rear. The building is constructed of colourwashed rendered brick and has a pantile roof. It stands two storeys high and features three bays. There are three steps leading up to the central entrance, which has a six-panel door. The ground floor is fitted with 16-pane sash windows. A stepped three-course band runs along the first floor. The outer bays on the first floor have unequally-hung 9-pane sash windows that break the stepped and cogged eaves band. Additionally, there is a small former fire window, which is a four-pane casement. The roof is swept, and there is a stack at the end.
