Description

Number 25, including the carriage entrance, is a lodge and carriage entrance built in 1927 by Walter Brierley for N Terry. The building is constructed of narrow red brick, primarily in stretcher bond, with some patterned headers. It features oak-mullioned windows with leaded lights and has a plain tile roof. The design is almost symmetrical, though there are variations in the window arrangement.

The exterior comprises one storey with attics. At the center, there is a carriage entrance flanked by oak posts and a lintel. On either side of the entrance, there are three-sided brick staircase turrets with staggered one-light windows, one on each floor. To the left, there are two three-light windows with hood moulds and two hipped attic dormers, one with two lights and the other with three. On the right side, the ground floor has three one-light windows, also with hood moulds. Ridge chimneys are located to the right of the carriageway and between the dormers on the left. The end walls are half-hipped, featuring coped gablets. The interior has not been inspected.
