Description

A terrace of three houses with shops, built around 1844. The front of the buildings are constructed of pink and cream mottled brick in a Flemish bond pattern, while the rear uses an English garden wall bond. The roofs are slate, with brick stacks.

The front façade has a two-storey, three-window design. The shopfronts are framed with plain pilasters decorated with necking of banded roundels and a continuous moulded cornice supported by grooved consoles. The shopfront to number 9 has been blocked and replaced with a four-pane sash window. Numbers 11 and 13 retain their original eight-pane shop windows with slender glazing bars, moulded sills, and painted timber risers; the doors have four sunk panels and divided overlights. The first-floor windows are twelve-pane sashes with narrow painted sills and flat brick arches. New guttering is fitted with timber modillions, and a tapering faceted rainwater head is located at the right end. Rear wings project at right angles. The interiors have not been inspected.
