Description

1 and 3 George Street are a pair of houses built around 1840, with some alterations made in the 20th century. They are constructed of orange brick in Flemish bond and feature a timber modillion eaves cornice. The houses have a slate roof with brick and rendered stacks.

The exterior is two stories high and has a four-window front. There is a round-headed passage arch with a board door and a radial fanlight, which is flanked by two four-panel doors set in pilaster and cornice doorcases; the left door has been inserted in what was formerly a window. The windows are 16-pane sashes with painted stone sills and flat arches made of brick. The interiors have not been inspected.
