Description
No. 6 Bridge Street is a late 18th-century building that stands two storeys tall, constructed of local brick that has been painted. It features a pantile roof with coped gable ends, complete with kneelers and chimney stacks. The façade includes three windows, one of which lacks glazing bars, all adorned with stucco lintels. The ground floor has two 19th-century shop fronts that have modern fascias. In the center, there is a half-glazed door made up of two fielded panels, set in a plain case with a cornice that forms a hood above it. The door is complemented by a semi-circular fanlight. This building was formerly the Nelthorpe Arms Public House and is currently occupied by Haven Engineering. It forms part of a group with Nos. 3, 4A, 5, and 6, as well as The Old Chapel.
