Description

The former Nelthorpe Arms Public House is a mid-18th century building of three storeys, originally constructed in local brick with a pantile roof, stone-coped gable ends, and brick stacks. It has a good small wood dentil eaves cornice, as well as painted bands below the top floor and above the ground floor. The front façade features three windows with stucco lintels, wooden window frames, and no glazing bars. The main entrance has a six-panel door with glazed upper panels, set within a plain doorcase featuring pilasters, a frieze, and a cornice. The building is currently occupied as a warehouse by Haven Engineering. It forms a group with The Old Chapel and numbers 3, 4A, 5 and 6 Bridge Street.
