Description
54 and 56 Bridge Street are mid-18th century buildings that stand two storeys tall, finished in painted stucco with a replaced pantile roof featuring two sloped dormers. A band runs above the ground floor, and there is a painted plinth. The buildings have two windows on the upper floor, one with modern glazing and one with a segmental arched head. On the ground floor, there is one window with three lights and another with a single light. The entrance features a door with six fielded panels and a rectangular fanlight, set back in a small moulded doorcase. There is also a modern side door. These buildings are part of a group that includes Nos 35 to 54 (consecutive), Nos 56 and 57, and the White Hart Public House, with Nos 35 to 46 (consecutive) noted for their local interest.
