Description

3, Bridge Street is a mid-18th century brick building of three storeys, originally comprising numbers 2 and 4. The building has a pantile roof with stone coped gable ends and kneelers, finished with a wooden eaves cornice. It features three windows with lintels, hung sash windows with glazing bars, and a doorcase with pilasters, frieze and cornice. The entrance has a six-fielded panel door and a rectangular glazed fanlight. To the ground floor are two small, plain shop windows and two modern doors, each with a rectangular fanlight and lintel. The building was formerly a warehouse occupied by Haven Engineering and a public house, the Nelthorpe Arms and forms a group with numbers 4A, 5 and 6, and The Old Chapel.
