Coach House/Stables Approximately 10 Metres East Of Broughton Grange Farmhouse

This building is a coach house and stables, constructed in 1848, located approximately 10 metres east of Broughton Grange Farmhouse. The structure features squared limestone and a slate roof. It has a rectangular layout with a central coach house flanked by stables and a contemporary outhouse extension on the right.

The central bay is two stories high, while the side bays are single-story. There is a lower single-story extension set back to the right. The building has a chamfered plinth and a central pair of board doors with wrought-iron strap hinges, situated beneath a segmental arch. These doors are flanked by single board doors with overlights—four-pane on the left and single-pane on the right—also beneath segmental arches. Above the carriage entrance is a large painted carved ashlar datestone.

The central section has a hipped roof topped with a 20th-century weathervane, while the side bays have swept roofs with stone-coped gables. The extension to the right features a single board door beneath a segmental arch, a hipped roof, and two similar doors on the right return. There have been 20th-century alterations to the rear of the building.
