Description
The Hollies is a house dating from the late 18th century, with later alterations made to the rear. It is constructed from coursed limestone rubble, featuring red brick dressings and rendered brick stacks, topped with a pantile roof. The building has a two-room central entrance-hall plan and a continuous rear outshut. It stands two storeys high and has three symmetrical bays. The entrance features a 19th-century panelled door with a plain overlight, set beneath a segmental header brick arch. The windows are two-light casements with 20th-century leaded panes, also below segmental header arches. The eaves cornice is stepped and dentilled, and the gables are raised and tumbled. There are end stacks. Inside, there are a pair of five-fielded-panel doors leading to the stair hall.
