Description

The Whipping Post, located approximately 8 metres south of No 1 Spa Hill (The Old Police Station), is a 20th-century replacement timber post featuring 18th-century wrought-iron fittings. The square post stands 2 metres high and is topped with a pyramidal lead cap. It has six iron arm-shackles, arranged in three pairs, stapled onto three sides.
