Description

The stocks and whipping post, dating from the late 18th century, is located on the east side of Market Street in Bottesford. It is made of timber and features a square section post with wrist restraints. The base of the post is cleft to accommodate leg stocks, which have two pairs of ankle holes. The opposite end of the leg stocks fits into the base of a second post.
