Description
No. 113 Coltman Street is a house with an adjoining screen wall, built around 1840. It has been restored and altered in the late 20th century. The building is constructed of brick with painted ashlar dressings and features a hipped slate roof with two renewed side wall stacks. The eaves and gutters are decorated with wooden modillions. The house is two storeys high and has a three-window range. The windows are fitted with slightly cambered keystone lintels and include three 6-pane sashes. Below the windows, there is a renewed central portico supported by wooden columns and an entablature. The door features two vertical panels and an overlight, with two plain sashes on either side. To the right, there is the front wall of a former stable that acts as a screen wall. This wall has a rendered plinth and moulded coping, with a central elliptical-arched entrance flanked by slim pilasters that rise above the parapet and are capped. On either side of the entrance, there are round-arched doorways.
