Description

This coach house, likely dating from the late 18th or early 19th century, is situated at Melton Grange. It is built of brick and limestone rubble, with a colour-washed exterior and a pantiled roof. The building is two storeys and five bays wide. The ground floor features a boarded door in the first bay, double boarded carriage doors within a segmental arch in the second bay, a sash window with a sill and glazing bars in the third bay, a small boarded door with an overlight in the fourth bay, and another sash window with a sill and glazing bars in the fifth bay. The first floor has a four-light window with glazing bars above the carriage entrance, flanked by louvred openings under a single segmental arch. There are also four small, silled louvred openings in the outer bays. All openings are set within segmental brick arches. The roof is hipped with crested ridge tiles.
