Description
No. 3 Ladywellgate is a house dating from the late 18th century. It is constructed of brick that has been colour-washed and features a pantiled roof. The building has two storeys with attics and consists of four bays, along with a rear wing. The entrance door has six raised and fielded panels and includes an overlight, all set within a pilastered doorcase topped with a dentilled pediment. To the left of the door is a 16-pane sash window with a sill, and to the right are two similar sash windows, each positioned under cambered gauged brick arches. On the first floor, there are four similar sash windows. The house also features two gabled roof dormers, each with a 6-pane fixed window. There are end and axial stacks, and the gables are raised and coped, resting on shaped kneelers.
