Description
This barn, located about 30 metres south of Manor Farmhouse, dates from the early 18th century. It is constructed of cobbles and rubble, featuring dark red brick dressings. The barn has two storeys and consists of four bays. On the ground floor, there is a 20th-century boarded door flanked by ventilation slits, and oblong windows with timber lintels at the extreme ends. The first floor includes a central double-leaf boarded taking-in door, with a small oblong opening under a timber lintel to the extreme left. The raised gables show tumbled-in brickwork, and the left gable has a large boarded taking-in door. Inside, the barn features three principal rafter trusses with tusked and tenoned side purlins.
