Description
Nos 2 and 2A on Ladygate is a mid-19th century building. It has three storeys and a red brick front with a low gable end and a pantile roof. The first floor features two sash windows framed with flush architraves. There is a shallow, pilastered canted oriel window on the first floor as well. The shop window is thinly pilastered, consisting of 5 panes by 4 panes, and includes a frieze and cornice. The door of No 2 has six panels and is set beneath a 4-centred arched head with carved spandrels, all within a thin pilaster case that has a frieze and shallow cornice above. This building is included for its group interest.
