Description

4 Hengate is an early 19th-century building located in Beverley. It is three storeys high, constructed of red brick, and topped with a slate roof. The eaves feature a wooden gutter supported by widely spaced block brackets. There are two windows with painted stone heads, which are hung sashes with glazing bars. Above the ground and first-floor windows, there are sunk panels adorned with enriched stucco mouldings. The front door is a six-panel wood case design, complete with a fanlight, pilasters, and an entablature. Additionally, there is a built-in iron foot scraper at the entrance.
