Description

Walbut Lock is a lock built in the early 19th century, likely designed by George Leather for the Pocklington Canal Company. It is constructed of red brick with gritstone dressings. The lock features a parallel-sided basin that has splays at each end beyond the gates. At the time of the last survey, the lock was disused and in a derelict condition.
