Description
Wesleyan Chapel is a chapel built in 1837, located on Bielby Main Street. It is constructed of yellow brick and has a slate roof. The entrance features a stone step leading to a double leaf door, which consists of two plain panels and four raised and fielded panels, all under a segmental wedge lintel. This door is flanked by four-pane sash windows with sills, also beneath segmental wedge lintels. Above the door, there is a sundial with the inscriptions: "SOLI DEO OMNIS GLORIA" and "Boast not thyself of tomorrow for on thine eyelids is the shadow of death. J SMITH DELIN. BIELBY 1838." Additionally, there is an oval plaque above the door that reads: "WESLEYAN A.1837.D CHAPEL." The chapel has a hipped roof.
