Description

North Lodge, also known as "The Presbytery," is a lodge to Everingham Hall built around 1840. It is constructed of brick that is rendered and colourwashed, with stone dressings and an ornamental slate roof. The building is two storeys high and features a symmetrical three-bay elevation. The central bay projects forward beneath a separate gable. An open trellised porch leads to a central boarded door set in a chamfered stone architrave, flanked by two-light casement windows in stone architraves with hoodmoulds. There is a similar window above the door on the first floor. The lodge has a central stack and oversailing eaves adorned with decorative barge-boards.
