Description
Ivy House is a house built in the early 19th century, with a later 19th-century wing added to the left. It is constructed of red-brown brick in Flemish bond and features a pantiled roof. The building has two storeys and a four-window front. To the right, there is a six-panel main door with a fanlight, set in a pilastered doorcase that has a shallow projecting cornice. This door is flanked by 16-pane sash windows with sills under cambered lintels. The sash windows, which have glazing bars, are also present to the left, with sills under flat gauged brick arches. On the first floor, all windows are sashes with glazing bars, framed in architraves with sills. The house has end stacks and plain close verges. The ground floor windows are fitted with shutters that have fielded panels.
