Description

No. 11, Clifton Road is a house dating to circa 1845, designed by Walter Scott as part of the Clifton Park villa development. The house is constructed with ashlar facing and has a low-pitched roof concealed behind a parapet. It is two storeys high, with a symmetrical three-bay facade articulated by pilasters, and a central entrance. The entrance is framed by a moulded architrave and a bracketted entablature featuring scroll decoration. Tripartite sash windows are set within pedimented surrounds on each side of the entrance, while the upper floor has two-light sash windows. A moulded cornice runs along the top of the building, above which is a parapet with blocking. End and rear wall stacks are present.
