Pair of houses. c1840-1850. Ashlar-faced with concrete tiled roof. 2 storeys, 6-window range with advanced central block and symmetrical flanking bays. Side entrances in projecting porches, that to left in architrave with recessed fluted shafts. Windows of central block in stressed architraves. All windows renewed as 6- and 9-pane pivotal windows in original openings. Elevation to park has 7-window range with central pediment. Gable and axial stacks. Panelled ashlar gate piers with shallow pyramidal copings at each side. Probably part of the original development associated with Birkenhead Park.
