Description
Maggot's Nook Farmhouse is a late 17th-century farmhouse constructed of stone with a slate roof. It stands two storeys high and features two bays. The first bay has a stone-coped gable. The windows are double-chamfered mullioned, with those in the first bay having label moulds, while the ground floor window in the second bay has a projecting lintel. Most windows have five lights, except for the first-floor window in the first bay, which has four lights. The entrance is located in a small gabled porch and has a 20th-century door.
On the left side of the building, there is a lateral external stack topped with a 19th-century cap, and a right gable-end stack also with a 19th-century cap. The left return features 20th-century windows, a two-light window to the left of the stacks, and a blocked entrance with a Tudor head and a triangular lintel, along with a two-light blocked window above it. The rear of the farmhouse has a later outshut with an entrance, while the gabled second bay includes casement windows and a five-light window on the first floor.
