Description

The gate piers at Manor House, dating from around 1718, are constructed from sandstone ashlar. Each pier measures approximately half a metre square in section and stands about 3 metres high. They are designed in a classical style, featuring fielded panelled sides, moulded corners, and a frieze with a triglyph on each side. A prominent moulded cornice and a ramped pedestal for a ball finial are also present, although both finials were missing at the time of the survey. These gate piers form a group with the Manor House.
