Description

Mount Cambria is a pair of villas, dating from approximately 1842-5, and later slightly altered. These properties are built of stuccoed walls with a slate roof and are designed in a Regency Tudor style. They have a double-depth plan, with each house having a double-fronted appearance.

The exterior presents two storeys with three windows on each side. Each house is symmetrical, featuring a small Tudor-arched porch in the centre, with a cornice and embattled parapet topped by corner pinnacles. These porches shelter a door with two Tudor-arched glazed panels above a Tudor-arched overlight. Above the porch is a narrow two-light window with a hoodmould, and a shallow two-storey canted bay window flanks either side, featuring narrow Tudor-arched lights on both floors, with transoms to the upper. The roof has oversailing eaves and verges, with a ridge chimney marking the junction and gable chimneys at each end.

The interior was not inspected during listing.

Mount Cambria forms a group with number 19 to the left and numbers 27 and 29 to the right.
