Description

Heron Cottage is a house that likely dates from the late 17th century or early 18th century. It has been altered and extended at the rear in 1981. The exterior features white painted render, probably over brick, and a thatched roof that is hipped at the right-hand end. The building has a single-depth, two-unit plan and includes a 20th-century wing at the rear.

The exterior is a single storey with a late 20th-century attic added. It has a three-window range with renewed sliding sash windows consisting of three lights, two lights, and three lights, along with a very shallow eyebrow attic window that has been inserted in the roof over the left bay. The interior has not been inspected. Heron Cottage forms a group with the adjoining properties No.26 and No.28.
