Description
72A Rodney Street is an early 19th-century house constructed of brick with stone dressings and a slate roof. The building stands three storeys tall with a basement, featuring two bays on the front and a six-bay return to Knight Street. All windows are fitted with wedge lintels and are sashed with glazing bars. The entrance, located to the right, is adorned with stucco, flat pilasters, and a flat bracketed hood, with quoins at the corner.
On the Knight Street facade, the first two bays have blind windows, while the last bay features a single-storey tripartite sashed window. The second and third bays include paired round-headed entrances set beneath an elliptical arch, with the spandrel decorated with a fan motif. The left entrance is blocked, while the right entrance showcases a consoled doorcase, a complete fanlight, and a four-panel door.
