Description

Nos. 47 and 49 Rodney Street are two houses built in the late 18th century. They are constructed of brick with stone dressings and have a slate roof. Each house has three storeys and a basement, with three bays. The top cornice is present, and all windows feature wedge lintels and are sashed, with glazing bars on the second floor. The entrances are paired and have Doric doorcases. No. 47 is distinguished by rusticated quoins, sill bands with projecting sills, and foliated ornament on the portico. The basement of No. 47 has a late 19th-century inserted window, and there is a six-panel door leading into No. 47.
