Description
This house, located to the north of Gateacre Grange, features a re-sited datestone from 1787 and a rainwater head dated 1837. Constructed from stone with a slate roof, it stands two storeys high and has four bays. The first-floor sill band is mostly cement, and there is a cornice at the top. The windows on the lower floor are low and sashed with glazing bars. The third bay includes a canted bay with a small window at the front and a hipped slate roof. The fourth bay has a small inserted window to the left, which includes the datestone in its jamb. There are indications of blocked first-floor windows. The entrance is located in a canted porch that features a glazed doorcase and a leaded fanlight. Additionally, there is a gabled canopy over the street entrance in the hall, and a cross-axial stack is present. At the rear, there is a two-storey canted bay.
