Description

No. 4 Gateacre Brow is a house built around 1814. It is constructed of stone and was stuccoed until around 1980. The building has a slate roof and is two storeys high with three bays. The ground floor sill bank has been roughly removed, and there is a top cornice. The corners of the house feature flush quoins. The windows have wedge lintels and vertical jambs, and they are sashed with glazing bars. The central entrance is round-headed and includes an architrave, impost blocks, and a reeded frieze. It has a complete fanlight above a six-panel door.
