Description
Nos. 51a-75 on Rodney Street is a terrace of thirteen houses built in the late 18th century. The houses are constructed of brick with stone dressings and feature a slate roof. Each house has three storeys and a basement, with three bays, except for no. 63, which has five bays under a pediment. The houses at both ends and the central house (no. 63) project slightly forward.
All windows have wedge lintels and are sash windows, with nos. 61, 63, 67, and 71 featuring glazing bars. No. 75 has four blind windows. The doorways are paired, except for the end houses and the center, and are round-headed with attached Doric columns and entablatures. The doorways for nos. 51, 65, and 63 have pediments, while nos. 55-59 have straight heads.
Nos. 51 to 57 and 61-63, and 69 have iron balconies on the first floor. No. 59 retains an original iron overthrow with the house number, and no. 69 has plain iron area railings.
