Description
Nos. 86 and 88 Rodney Street are two houses built in the early 19th century. They are constructed of brick with stone dressings and feature a slate roof. The buildings rise three storeys with a basement; No. 86 has three bays, while No. 88 has five bays. There is a plat band above the basement, a sill band at the first floor, and a cornice with a blocking course. All windows have wedge lintels and are sash windows, with glazing bars on the second-floor windows. The first bay of No. 86 and the central bay of No. 88 feature a Doric doorcase with fluted columns, complete fanlights, and six-panel doors. The properties also have plain iron area railings and a balcony at the first floor. The left return of the buildings has three bays and a pedimented gable.
