Description

Nos. 9 and 11 on The Esplanade are a pair of houses built in the 1840s. They are constructed from stucco and have a slate roof. Each house has two storeys with an attic and features two bays, with the end bays projecting under open pediments. There is a first-floor sill band and a top cornice. The first-floor windows are framed with architraves, while the attic windows in the pediments are round-headed and adorned with pilasters and archivolts. All windows are sashed and do not have glazing bars. The entrances are located at the rear of the return wings.
