Description

The Whitehouse is a house dating from the 1840s, built with stucco and a slate roof. It is two storeys high with two bays, the first of which projects. A first-floor sill course, a top frieze, and a deep cornice run along the top of the building. The ground floor features a canted bay window with a cornice and balustrade in the first bay, and a rectangular bay with a tripartite window, frieze and cornice in the second bay. The first floor has segmental headed tripartite windows with angle pilasters and faceted keys. All windows are sash windows and lack glazing bars. The left return side includes a porch with a round-headed entrance, architrave, impost, faceted key, and a five-panel door. Additions to the left side are of no particular architectural interest.
