Description

This milestone, dating from the early 19th century, is made of sandstone and features cast iron plates. It has a triangular shape and stands on a rounded base, which is inscribed with the word 'CABUS'. The left-hand plate indicates the distance to Lancaster Town Hall, while the right-hand plate shows the distance to Garstang Town Hall, which is three-quarters of a mile away.
