Description

This milestone, likely from the early 19th century, is made of sandstone and features cast-iron plates. It has a triangular shape. The left-hand plate, which has a broken corner, is inscribed with 'LANCASTE(R) III MILES'. The right-hand plate is inscribed with 'GARSTANG VII 3/4 MILES'.
