Description
Barker House Farmhouse is a house dating from around 1800, with some remains from the 17th century. It is built of slobbered rubble and has a slate roof. The house has two storeys and three bays. The windows are sashed with glazing bars and have plain stone surrounds. There are paired doorways between the first and second bays; the left-hand doorway has a plain stone surround, while the right-hand doorway is now blocked and converted into a window. This blocked doorway features a moulded surround and a shaped lintel with a hood, inscribed with 'RBI 1691'. The house has a stone gutter, and the gables have copings. There are chimneys located on the gables and aligned with the original doorway.
