Description

New Park Bridge is an accommodation bridge over the Lancaster Canal, which was opened in 1797 and designed by engineer John Rennie. The bridge is constructed from punched sandstone blocks and features a single elliptical arch with a stepped keystone. It has a solid parapet that includes a string course and round coping. A portion of the bridge is located in Thurnham parish.
