Milestone, probably early C19. Sandstone with cast-iron plates. Rounded on plan at base, triangular above. Base inscribed: 'FORTON'. Left-hand plate inscribed: 'LANCASTER VI MILES.' Right-hand plate inscribed: 'GARSTANG IIII 3/4 MILES.'
