Description
This is a farmhouse, likely dating from around 1700, with alterations made in the 19th century. It's constructed from sandstone rubble with a stone slate roof. The main portion of the house comprises two bays, with a third bay added to the left, distinguished by a straight joint and a lower roofline. The windows are sash windows without glazing bars, set within plain stone surrounds. The ground-floor window on the right-hand side features paired sashes within a chamfered surround with a central mullion. A drip course runs above all three bays on the front elevation, interrupted by the windows and the doorway. The front door is located on the left side of the original part of the house and to the right of the added bay. It has a bolection-moulded stone surround flanked by rudimentary Doric pilasters, which feature cyma-moulded sinkings, supporting a blank frieze and a moulded cornice. Above the door, on the first floor, is a blocked one-light chamfered window. Chimneys are situated on the gable ends and to the left of the front door. The interior contains no exposed architectural features of noteworthy interest.
