Description
Ellel Grange Bridge, also known as No. 84, is an accommodation bridge over the Lancaster Canal that was opened in 1797. It was engineered by John Rennie. The parapet of the bridge was likely altered around 1860. The bridge features punched sandstone blocks and a single elliptical arch with a stepped keystone. Below the ashlar parapet, there is a band with openings, each filled by five balusters, and the bridge has weathered coping.
