Description

Hay Carr Bridge, an accommodation bridge over the Lancaster Canal, was opened in 1797 and designed by engineer John Rennie. The bridge is constructed from punched sandstone blocks and features a single elliptical arch with a stepped keystone. It has a solid parapet that includes a band and rounded coping.
