Description

This milestone, located on the A6, dates from the 19th century and is made of sandstone with cast iron plates. It has a triangular shape above a semi-circular base, which is inscribed with the word 'CABUS'. The left-hand plate indicates a distance of 'LANCASTER VII MILES', while the right-hand plate shows 'GARSTANG 2 3/4 MILES'.
