Description

No. 43 High Street is a house and shop built in 1744, with some alterations. The building is constructed of slobbered rubble and features a slate roof with brick chimneys. It has two storeys and two bays. The windows have plain reveals; the ground floor windows are modern, while the first-floor windows are sashed with glazing bars. On the right side, there is a blocked opening on both floors. The door, located between the bays, has a quoined surround. Above the door is an oval plaque inscribed with 'JG 1744'.
